Specifically designed for credit reporting agencies and other credit reporting institutions, Meridianlink's Mortgage Credit Link (MCL) system is the most versatile, stable, and powerful Web-based credit reporting system available in the market. The traditional software installation process has been eliminated via our centralized, Web-based system.

What is XML and why should I care?
XML (extensible mark-up language) is MeridianLink's universal solution to system integration. XML allows for easy transmission, validation, and interpretation of data between applications and organizations. This programming language allows easy communication between loan origination programs, report flexibility, and activity/billing reporting functionality.

How secure is your system?
TruSecure certification ensures regular security audits and notification of security holes; having TruSecure certification is the minimum requirement to provide credit data over the Internet. Meridianlink, however, goes beyond the "minimum requirements". In addition to TruSecure certification, we have implemented our own proprietary encryption module and dual firewalls to secure data storage. When it comes to Internet security, you want people who are knowledgeable and experienced with Internet technologies to be maintaining your system!

Overview
Birchwood Credit's online credit system helps our clients be more efficient in managing the credit process and provides more report flexibility. Trade updates are ordered online, which eliminates the need to fax requests and spend time calling to check status as our system tracks request status for each credit file. The system also contains helpful tools such as derogatory letters, denial letters, mortgage only reports and a denial letter generator, which helps save your loan officers and processors’ time throughout the loan process. Our system provides the ability to unmerge information, such as dropping a co-borrower from the report without re-pulling the borrower’s credit incurring additional cost and inquiry on the borrower’s credit report. Our system provides valuable administrative features as well. Since this system is Internet-based, all your employees are instantly networked as the database of credit files sit on the Web vs. individual computers or office network. Therefore, your loan officers can pull reports from the field and processors can instantly see the credit information. Each invoice groups and subtotals reports by each individual user for easy end-of-month reconciliation. The system offers permission control features for each user to limit activity and avoid duplicate inquiries.

LOS Interfaces
Birchwood Credit's Mortgage Credit Link system interfaces with most of the major loan origination software programs out on the market. The interface process saves our clients considerable time by eliminating the need to key information from the credit report into the 1003. This is all done by a couple key strokes!
